La Belle Helene
Born in Istanbul. He began his studies studying guitar. He finished his vocal studies in TC.Mimar Sinan State Conservatory. Then he went to Bologna and specialised in Baroque and BelCanto repertoire; in Scuola dell'Opera Italiana. Right after he became be a member of SemperOper Dresdens' Junges Ensembl where he established a strong connection with the company; He often returns to sing. Other then opera he enjoys singing art song recitals and sacred pieces such as Bach, Handel and Mozart's oratorios.
Süngü sang under the baton of leading conductors such as Fabio Luisi, Nello Santi, Christian Thielemann, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Donato Renzetti, Omer Meir Wellber, Massimo Zanetti, Michele Mariotti, Julia Jones and Diego Fasolis...
He worked with the leading directors like Grischa Asagaroff, Willy Decker,Mario Martone, Davide Livermoor, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Damiano Micheletto, Graham Vick, Franco Zeffirelli.
Mert Süngü performed under the baton of leading conductors such as Diego Fasolis, Ottavio Dantone, Fabio Luisi, Nello Santi, Tugan Sokhiev, Giacomo Sagripanti, Christian Thielemann, Lorenzo Viotti... on finest venues such as
